Rockwood man arrested following investigation into string of Guelph break-ins

An investigation into a string of residential burglaries across Guelph has led to the arrest of a Rockwood male.

The Guelph Police Service General Investigations and Special Projects Unit (GISP) has been investigating break and enters to several houses and apartment complexes which occurred during the months of February and March of this year. The total value of property stolen is approximately $30,000.

The investigation led to the identity of a 27-year-old Rockwood male, who was arrested at his home Thursday. He is charged with four counts of break and enter and single counts of possessing break-in tools and theft under $5,000. He was held for a bail hearing Friday.

The investigation is ongoing with attempts being made to identify a second person involved in the crimes and locate the stolen property.
