On Friday, June 7, 2019 police were conducting proactive patrols in the area of Speedvale Ave. West and Edinburgh Road North when they came across a suspicious vehicle.
Officers approached the vehicle and spoke to the driver who confirmed he was neither the registered owner of the vehicle, nor a resident at the address where the vehicle was parked.
Officers observed that there were several different utility tools inside the vehicle, and the driver was unable to provide a reasonable explanation for possessing these tools.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the driver was bound by a recognizance not to possess any break-in instruments. The 33-year-old Sarnia male was arrested and charged with Fail to Comply with Recognizance and 2 counts of Breach Probation. He was subsequently held for a bail hearing.
