TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON — On May 26, 2019, at approximately 4 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service responded to a fatal collision involving a single motor vehicle on Second Line, Between Wellington Road 7 and Sideroad 6, south of Fergus.
The lone occupant was pronounced dead at the scene and will not be named until next of kin have been notified.
The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and the roadway will remain closed until further notice.
