TOWNSHIP OF CENTRE WELLINGTON - On Oct. 3, 2018 at approximately 1:18 p.m., members of the Wellington Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a male in distress in the area of Side Road 14 near Wellington Road 7 in the Township of Centre Wellington (formerly Pilkington Township).
Uniform and Emergency Response Team (ERT) officers attended the rural location and located the body of a deceased male.
The OPP has notified the province's Special Investigation Unit (SIU) which has invoked its mandate. As a result the OPP will not be able to provide any further information. Any other inquiries should be directed to SIU Communications at (416) 622-2342.
