A south end bank was shut down for “several hours” on Monday after a woman reported hearing two men talk about placing a bomb in the building – something police later determined to be “untrue,” explains a news release.

The woman reported hearing the men discuss bombing the bank at about 10:30 a.m., before they quickly left.

As a result, the bank was closed while the building was “extensively searched.”

Investigation revealed her claims to be “untrue,” the release notes.

Based on a description and surveillance camera images, the woman, 38,  was located nearby and arrested for public mischief.
