Stolen bike leads to drug charge for Guelph man

Officers found a man with a stolen bike and bolt cutters. He also had a small quantity of Fentanyl

On June 8, 2018 at approximately midnight, a Guelph Bylaw Officer located a male with a bike and bolt cutters behind the VIA station, 74 Carden St. Guelph Police investigation discovered that the bike had been reported stolen on June 1, 2018 and the male was arrested. A search subsequent to his arrest discovered what is believed to be a small quantity of Fentanyl.

The 36-year-old Guelph male has been charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property and breach of probation. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
