Stolen property, drugs found during traffic stop, police say

On March 7, 2019 at 6:45 a.m., the Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop with a motor vehicle on Vanier Drive. Investigation of the three occupants led to charges for all three as police discovered stolen property and a quantity of what is believed to be OxyContin, baggies and a scale that were located inside the car. A search subsequent to arrest discovered a small quantity of methamphetamine on one of the men.

Matthew Hirtle, 33 years of Guelph, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and breach of probation. He will next appear in court on March 11, 2019.

Stephen WilsonI, 28 years of Guelph, has been charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000 and breach of probation. He will next appear in court on March 11, 2019.

Jonathan McDougall, 28 years of Guelph, has been charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance. He will appear in court on March 19, 2019.
