Stop for no lights on bike leads to arrest on outstanding charges for Guelph woman

Guelph police report on Thursday at 4:34 a.m., police observed an adult female riding a bicycle without working lights in the area of Woolwich Street and Speedvale Avenue. The female was stopped and further investigation revealed she was wanted on three separate warrants:

- three counts of failing to attend court on June 18th in regards to possession of stolen property under $5,000, two counts of fail to attend court, occupy motor vehicle without consent and illegal use of credit card

- failing to attend court on in regards to possession of stolen property under $5,000

- drive with no valid licence

She was subsequently arrested.

The 31-year-old female has been further charged with two counts of fail to attend court and a Highway Traffic Act offences in regards to operating a bicycle without working lights and without working brakes.

She was held pending a bail hearing Thursday.
