Woman reportedly sexually assaulted while waiting for bus

Police say the alleged sexual assault occurred in the area of Paisley Road and Candlewood Drive on Monday morning

The Guelph Police Service is looking for a male suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman who was waiting for a bus in the area of Paisley Road and Candlewood Drive on Monday around 8:25 a.m.

The victim fled the area, leaving the suspect behind, the Guelph Police said in a news release.

No injuries have been reported as a result of this incident. 

The suspect is described as an older white man, possibly in his 70s, with a slim build, greying black hair and a long white goatee and wearing a grey winter jacket.

Police are asking the area residents to check their videos from their security, doorbell and dash cameras for any suspicious activity or individuals around this time.
