A 43-year-old Guelph male faces several charges after being stopped by police on Saturday evening.
Police were in the area of Wellington Street West and Imperial Road South at about 9:25 p.m. when they observed a male “known to them” driving past. Knowing the male had a suspended licence, officers pulled the vehicle over.
The male was arrested. During a subsequent search, police reportedly discovered a small amount of suspected fentanyl.
The accused is charged with driving while suspended, possession of a controlled substance and failing to comply with an undertaking.
