'Suspicious' behaviour leads to drug charges for two Guelph residents

On June 11, 2019 at approximately 6:50 p.m., a Guelph Police bike patrol officer observed a male and female acting suspiciously near the Speed River at MacDonell Street and Wellington Street East. Both parties were found to be in breach of current court orders and they were arrested.

Search incident to arrest lead to the discovery of a quantity of crystal meth being seized valued at approximately $500. The 33-year-old Guelph male is charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth), breach of probation and possess credit card. A 21-year-old Guelph female is charged with possession of a controlled substance (meth) and three counts of breach of probation.

The two will appear in court July 26, 2019.
