Suspicious vehicle call leads to several charges

Saturday around 6 a.m., a concerned citizen contacted Guelph police about a suspicious motor vehicle with two adult occupants.

Police located the vehicle parked outside a residence located near the intersection of Willow Road and Edinburgh Road and identified the occupants.

Investigation revealed that the occupants were on conditions not to have contact with each other and that the vehicle was stolen.

The occupants were subsequently arrested.

A search found 17 stolen clothing items in the vehicle and 0.2 grams of red fentanyl on one of those arrested.

A 34-year-old Guelph man has been charged with:

- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

- Possession of schedule 1

- Breach probation

- Fail to comply with undertaking

A 36-year-old London woman has been charged with:

- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000

- Fail to comply with undertaking

They were held for a bail hearing and subsequently released.
