A Guelph teenager is charged with robbery following an incident Thursday evening.

Another teen was selling Apple AirPods through an online marketplace. Approximately 7:40 p.m. he attended a west-end school to meet with a buyer, however was confronted by three males wearing ski masks. The victim ran to a nearby house for help and was not physically injured.

A short time later, responding officers stopped a vehicle on Edinburgh Road North at Crimea Street. A search of the vehicle revealed ski masks, gloves and black sweaters.

The 17-year-old Guelph male driving the car was arrested for robbery. Four other males in the car – ranging in age from 14 to 19 – will participate in a diversion program instead of facing charges.
