That's a hard 'fail:' Driving test ends with car hitting tree

Guelph police say no injuries were reported after a motorist hit a tree during her driving test Thursday morning.

Approximately 10:30 a.m., police responded to a collision near the intersection of Speedvale Avenue West and Edinburgh Road North. The driver was in the midst of her driving test when she lost control, mounted the curb and struck the tree causing significant damage to the motor vehicle.

Neither the driver nor the tester sustained injuries. No charges were laid.
