Thieves make off with $6K in tools from construction site

Guelph police are investigating after more than $6,000 in tools were stolen from a west end construction site.

Police were called Monday morning to the site near Paisley Road and Elmira Road South. Suspects had entered the construction office and removed tools including saws, a drill and a backpack blower. Two fire extinguishers were also discharged inside the building.

The investigation is ongoing.
