Thieves make off with tools and wire from south end construction site

Tools and wire worth more than $5,000 were stolen late Wednesday or early Thursday from a south end construction site.

Just after 8 a.m. Thursday, the Guelph police were called to the site near Laird Road and Quarterman Road. Sometime overnight, someone cut a lock to access a storage container, then cut another lock to access a second container inside.

Stolen items included five coils of wire, two cordless bandsaws, two drills and other tools.
