Thieves take nearly $3,000 in tools during business break-in

After forcing a mechanic shop door open, unknown assailants made off with nearly $3,000 worth of tools from a work van parked inside, say police.

Investigators responded to a business in the area of Edinburgh Road South and Preston Street at about 1:45 p.m. Thursday.
