Guelph police are investigating after three businesses were entered and thousands of dollars in equipment stolen this week.
Shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday, officers were called to a commercial building on Willow Road near Silvercreek Parkway North. It is believed the suspect or suspects entered through a rear door and then forced entry into several units between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday.
More than $2,500 worth of computers and other equipment was reported stolen from one business, while a second reported damage to a door frame and locking mechanism but no apparent theft.
Later in the day Thursday, staff of a medical office in the same office complex called to report their business had also been entered. An interior window was smashed to gain entry and approximately $10,000 worth of specialized equipment was stolen.
The incidents remain under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Constable Abdullah Eidokheil at 519-824-1212, ext. 7415, email him at [email protected], leave an anonymous message for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or leave an anonymous tip online at www.csgw.tips.
