Three people face charges after a firearm was allegedly brandished during a robbery inside a residence last Friday.

Approximately 5:25 p.m. two males and a female attended an apartment unit in the area of Willow Road and Bagot Street. They were allowed inside by the resident, who is familiar with one of the males. Once inside, the three suspects began demanding items from the resident.

A quantity of cash was stolen. As the victim attempted to stop the suspects from leaving, one male removed a firearm from his waistband.

Two of the suspects fled on foot while the third got into a vehicle, which was reversed very quickly out of the parking lot and almost hit a passing vehicle.

A 33-year-old Guelph female was located in the area several hours later and arrested for robbery with a firearm and failing to comply with a release order. A short time later officers located a 36-year-old male leaving a residence in the same area and he was arrested for robbery with a firearm, uttering death threats, dangerous driving, prohibited driving, breaching probation and breaching a prohibition order.

The third suspect, a 41-year-old Guelph male, was subsequently located hiding inside the same residence and was arrested for robbery with a firearm and breaching probation.

All three were held for bail hearings.
