Three more drivers charged with racing on the Hanlon Expressway

One driver was clocked at more than 60 km/h over the speed limit

On Thursday, April 5, 2018 at approximately 1 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on The Hanlon Expressway, Guelph. 

The officer observed a female driving an orange passenger vehicle at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 140 km/h, exceeding the posted speed limit by at least 60 km/h.

Forty-one-year-old Nicole M. E. Tenhave of Scarborough has been charged with race a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on May 16, 2018. Her driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.

On Wednesday, April 3, 2018 at approximately 9 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on The Hanlon Expressway, Guelph. 

The officer observed a female driving a white SUV at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 130 km/h, exceeding the posted speed limit by at least 50 km/h.

Twenty-eight-year-old Teri Beth Horowitz of Toronto has been charged with race a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on May 16, 2018. Her driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.

On Wednesday, April 3, 2018 at approximately 8 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on The Hanlon Expressway, Guelph.

 The officer observed a male driving a black coupe at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 130 km/h, exceeding the posted speed limit by at least 50 km/h.

Twenty-five-year-old Christopher Shawn Hurley of Flamborough has been charged with race a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on May 16, 2018. His driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
