Guelph Police responded to 178 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Commercial break-in leads to fraud
Some time between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. on April 22, 2020, the employee office of a business located near the intersection of Woodlawn Road West and Edinburgh Road North in the City of Guelph was entered. A Samsung 7 phone (valued at $275) and a black leather wallet containing various financial cards and identity documents were taken.

One of the stolen credit cards was then used to purchase merchandise at two stores located near the intersection of Woodlawn Road West and Woolwich Street.

Residential break-in leads to theft from vehicle
Some time overnight on April 21, 2020, a male and female entered a residential building located near the intersection of Woodlawn Road East and Woolwich Street in the City of Guelph. Entry was gained as the front door was pried open. The attached parking garage was then entered where a garage key fob was taken from an unlocked vehicle.

2006 Nissan Titan stolen
Some time between 9 p.m. on April 22 and 6:15 a.m. on April 23, 2020, a grey 2006 Nissan Titan was taken from the driveway of a residence located near the intersection of Willow Road and Elmira Road North in the City of Guelph. An extra set of keys was left inside the vehicle.

Vehicle damaged
Some time overnight on April 21, 2020, the front driver’s side window of a vehicle parked near the intersection of Cork Street West and Dublin Street North in the City of Guelph was smashed. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.
