In the last 24 hours the Guelph Police Service dealt with 241 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Female arrested
On June 13, 2018 at approximately 1:20 p.m., Guelph Police were notified of a female allegedly driving a stolen vehicle. Police located the vehicle in the south end of Guelph and conducted a traffic stop. Police spoke with the driver and recovered stolen property and drugs in the vehicle.

An 18-year-old Guelph female was charged with possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance. She has a July 27, 2018 court date.

Storm - dangerous conditions
As a result of the storm on June 13, 2018, Guelph Police received several calls related to damage from the storm. This included lights out at intersections, fallen trees and hydro wires, and road blockages.

The Guelph Police Service would like to thank the City of Guelph and Hydro services for their assistance in clearing the dangerous conditions and the community for their patience and adherence to driving safely under these conditions.
