Guelph Police Service dealt with 241 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Six arrested on warrants
A 28-year-old Guelph woman arrested on a warrant for breach probation. She will appear in court on June 14, 2019.

A 24-year-old Guelph man arrested on a warrant for voyeurism. He will appear in court on July 26, 2019.

A 29-year-old Guelph man arrested on a warrant for fail to appear. He will appear in court on Aug. 2, 2019.

A 32-year-old Guelph woman arrested on a warrant for multiple offences. Continued investigation also discovered that she was in possession of a bike that had been reported stolen from Douglas Street and she was further charged with possession of stolen property. She will appear in court on Aug. 6, 2019.

A 27-year-old Hamilton man arrested on a Hamilton warrant. Turned over to Hamilton Police.

A 26-year-old Guelph man arrested on an O.P.P. warrant. Turned over to O.P.P.

Break and enter
On June 19, 2019, the Guelph Police went to an Empire Street residence for the report of a break and enter. Sometime over the past week, the garage was entered and a theft of tools and vehicle equipment was stolen.

Theft from cars
On June 19, 2019, the Guelph Police received three reports of theft from cars. The locations were Ingram Drive, Mohawk Drive and Preston Street.

This crime is easily avoidable. Please lock your cars and do not leave belongings visible. If you do become a victim of this crime you can report it through the Guelph Police online reporting portal.
