Total of 12 charges laid in Guelph Police truck enforcement blitz

On Thursday, Nov. 7, and Friday, Nov. 8, 2019. Guelph Police Traffic Unit conducted a Commercial Vehicle enforcement initiative.  

Police inspected a total of 12 vehicles. As a result of those inspections, 12 charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act for various infractions.

Police also took five trucks out of service due to the severity of the infractions.

Guelph Police are committed to ensuring all road users operate safe vehicles in compliance with the Highway Traffic Act and would like to remind commercial vehicle operators to be diligent when completing their daily inspections and to ensure their vehicle is safe for the road.
