Traffic stop leads to impaired driving charge

On April 26, 2018 at 1:49 a.m., the Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop with a motor vehicle on Victoria Road South. The female driver was spoken to and a demand was made for a roadside breath sample. The driver failed this test and was arrested.

Sarah Hauxwell, 31 years of Cambridge, has been charged with drive over 80mg. She was also charged with drive motor vehicle with open container of alcohol, under the Liquor Licence Act and drive motor vehicle no licence, under the Highway Traffic Act. She will appear in court on May 8, 2018.
