Police was notified of a possible impaired driver in the city’s west end at about 10:30 p.m.

The vehicle was seen leaving a Silvercreek Parkway North parking lot and was pulled over after officers noted erratic driving, a news release explains.

During the stop, police report detecting an odour of alcoholic beverage on the driver’s breath and they were “showing signs of impairment.”

A roadside breath sample was provided, resulting in a fail. Further testing at the police station indicated they had more than three times the legal amount of alcohol in their system.
