Truck pulls down power line. Police hope to identify driver

On Sept. 14, 2018 at approximately 4:49 p.m., the Guelph Police responded to a collision on Paisley Road between Alma Street North and Bagot Street. Police learned that an eastbound truck pulling a flatbed trailer and backhoe made contact with overhead hydro wires, pulling them down and damaging the services for a home on Paisley Road. The responsible vehicle was last seen leaving the area eastbound on Paisley Road dragging some of the steel power line. Police are looking to speak to the driver.
