On April 24, 2017 at approximately 9:20 p.m., while on patrol, police observed a male operating a vehicle, yelling out of the driver’s window.

Over 80

On Apr. 24, 2017 at approximately 9:20 p.m., while on patrol, police observed a male operating a vehicle, yelling out of the driver’s window. Police followed for a short distance and became concerned when the vehicle was observed driving erratically. A traffic stop was conducted on Eramosa and the driver was asked to provide a road side sample of his breath. The driver failed the road side test.

Mathew McMullen, a 31 year old Guelph male, was arrested and charged for having a blood alcohol concentration that is more than 80mg while driving a motor vehicle.  He will appear in court on May 12, 2017.

Drug arrest

On Apr. 24, 2017 at 6:35 p.m., Guelph police were called to a building in the downtown area of Guelph, where there was reports of a male acting in a peculiar manner. As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old Guelph man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, breaching an undertaking and two counts of breaching his probation order. He was held for a bail hearing.

Break and enter

On Apr. 24, 2017, the Guelph Police went to a commercial property on Fair Road to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered sometime overnight and stole vehicle rims.
