Just before 2 a.m. earlier today, police were again performing proactive patrols in a Carden Street apartment building in response to on-going difficulties with non-residents in the building.

Premise check nets another arrest

Just before 2 a.m. earlier today,  police were again performing proactive patrols in a Carden Street apartment building in response to on-going difficulties with non-residents in the building. During the walkthrough, they discovered a man in a hallway who was in breach of court conditions from criminal charges currently before the court. The man was arrested and a search found that he was in possession of a prohibited knife and quantity of a substance that is believed to be crystal methamphetamine.

A 37-year-old Guelph man is charged with four counts of breach of recognizance, possession of a prohibited weapon and possession for the purpose of trafficking. He was held in custody to appear in bail court today.
