Honda generator stolen during break-in

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Honda generator taken during break-in
Some time between 5 a.m. on April 2 and 5 a.m. on April 6, 2020, the sprinkler room of a construction site located near the intersection of Quarterman Road and Laird Road in the City of Guelph was entered. A Honda EB5000 X3C gas generator (valued at $3,000) was taken.

Male arrested for smashing glass door
On April 6, 2020 just before 2:23 p.m., an adult male exited a community space located near the downtown core of the City of Guelph and sat down in the smoking area. The male then got up, walked over to the main glass door and smashed it, causing approximately $500 in damage.

At 2:32 p.m., after attempting to flee, police already at the scene arrested the male.

A 28-year-old Guelph male has been charged with mischief under $5,000.

He will appear in court on July 21.
