Two charged after police seize fentanyl, cocaine, crystal meth

Both face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking

On June 10, 2020 at approximately 8 a.m., the Guelph Police Drug Enforcement and Tactical Units executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Warrant at a commercial property on Woodlawn Road West and Woolwich Street, in the City of Guelph. An adult male and adult female were located on the premises and placed under arrest for possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Police located the following items during the execution of the search warrant:
    •    106.01 grams of cocaine ($10,600 street value)
    •    6.5 grams of fentanyl ($1,500 street value)
    •    .84 grams crystal methamphetamine ($50 street value)
    •    47 pills Alprazolam (benzodiazepine) ($250 street value)
    •    one functioning scale with powder residue
    •    two non-functioning scales with residue
    •    $1,385 Canadian currency
    •    A folding knife
    •    Large mixing bowls with powder residue
    •    A magic bullet blender with powder drug residue
    •    Food colouring located beside powder
    •    Cutting agent

A 42-year-old Guelph female and a 60-year-old Guelph male have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking – three counts, and possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). The female was further charged with breaching a conditional sentence order – three counts.

Both of the accused individuals were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
