On Dec. 20, 2018, members of the Guelph Police Drug Unit were in the parking lot of a hotel on Scottsdale Drive when they observed a 34-year-old Guelph male who was wanted.

The wanted male got into the passenger side of a vehicle and the vehicle was observed going to the area of Drew Street and Guelph Street. The male exited the vehicle and was arrested on the warrant for breaching his Probation. Police searched him and located what is believed to be crystal meth and cocaine. The drugs had a street value of over $1,300. The male was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and four counts of breaching his Probation.

On the passenger seat, Police observed what appeared to be a cell phone. However, after further investigation, it was in fact a taser.

The driver of the vehicle, a 34-year-old Paris male, was identified and after speaking with him, it was learned he was breaching his court orders. The male was charged with two counts of breaching his Recognizance, two counts of breaching his Probation, four counts of breaching his weapons Prohibition, carry concealed weapon, as well as three counts of driving while under suspension, and use plate not authorized for vehicle.

Both males are to appear in bail court on Dec. 21, 2018.
