Two Guelph men face impaired driving charges following separate incidents within a couple hours of one another overnight earlier this week.

In the first instance, as described in a Guelph Police Service news release, officers stopped a vehicle in the downtown core at about 11:55 p.m. and subsequently charged a 27-year-old man with operation while impaired and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration.

At about 1:45 a.m. Friday, police saw a vehicle mount a curb, cross the centre line and fluctuate speed in the area of Silvercreek Parkway South and Waterloo Avenue.

The second driver faces the same charges as the first.

In addition, both men saw their driver’s licence automatically suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for a week.
