Two in critical condition after car, tractor-trailer collide

A Guelph male and female are in critical condition and a second female is in stable condition following a collision in the city’s north end Tuesday afternoon.

Approximately 2 p.m. Tuesday, a motor vehicle travelling east on Woodlawn Road West collided with a tractor-trailer which was stopped and unoccupied in the westbound curb lane at Regal Road.

The 49-year-old male driver and two female passengers, aged 40 and 38, were transported by Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Service to a Hamilton trauma centre. The driver and older female are listed in critical condition, while the younger female is in stable condition.

Woodlawn Road West was closed between Royal Road and Regal Road while members of the Guelph Police Service Traffic Unit and Forensic Identification Unit collected evidence.
