Both drivers in Thursday's bad crash now in Hamilton trauma unit

On Thursday, Feb. 28, 2019 at 3:20 p.m., a Nissan Sentra driven by a 28-year-old Cambridge male was travelling south on Victoria Road South from Clair Road East. At the same time, a GMC Canyon was travelling north on Victoria Road South from Serena Lane. The driver is a 54-year-old Cambridge male. As the vehicles approached from opposite directions, they collided resulting in serious damage to both vehicles. Both drivers were transported to hospital with serious injuries, and both were later transported to a trauma unit in Hamilton.

Members of the Guelph Police Service Traffic Services Unit attended the scene to investigate the circumstances of the collision. At this point the investigation is continuing and police would ask anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact the Traffic Services Unit at 519-824-1212 ext. 7514.
