Unlicensed driver faces multiple charges following traffic stop

On March 21, 2019, Guelph Police H.E.A.T. officers conducted a traffic stop with a motor vehicle on Waterloo Avenue. Investigation determined that the female driver was unlicensed and there was a warrant for her arrest.  The female was arrested and a subsequent search also located stolen property; identity documents, a small quantity of crystal meth as well as open liquor within the car.

The 27-year-old Guelph woman has been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property, possession of identity documents, possession of a controlled substance and fail to attend court. She also received charges under the Highway Traffic Act, Liquor Licence Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act. She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
