Guelph police say a Guelph female faces several charges after allegedly returning to a business she has been ordered to avoid.

On Monday at approximately 6:45 p.m., staff from a business located on Willow Road near Silvercreek Parkway called to report a suspicious female inside the business. Officers arrived after the female had left, but were able to identify her after watching security video and discovered she was on release conditions with a term not to attend the business.

Further investigation revealed the female was also wanted for failing to attend court and for shoplifting last month from a north-end business.

Officers located the female shortly after 11 p.m. Monday in the area of Speedvale Avenue East and Stevenson Street North.

A 25-year-old Guelph female is charged with failing to comply with an undertaking, failing to attend court, theft under $5,000 and breach of probation. She will appear in a Guelph court November 16, 2021.
