On Sept. 7, 2019, Police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver in the area of Eramosa road north and Victoria road north in the city of Guelph.
Witnesses in the area observed a vehicle travelling northbound in the southbound lanes on Victoria road north.
Police attended into the area and located the said vehicle parked at a local business on Woodlawn road east. The driver of the vehicle was observed returning to his vehicle at which time officers intervened and an odour of alcohol was detected on his breath.
After a fail was registered on the approved screening device (ASD), the 67-year-old Cambridge male was subsequently arrested for operation while impaired over 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood.
The accused was fingerprinted and released on a Promise to Appear with the court date of September 20, 2019.
