Vehicle stolen, recovered, stolen again, recovered again. Man arrested

After the vehicle was turned over to the owner, a man got into the recently recovered vehicle and drove it away

On Nov. 17, 2018, a GMC Sierra was reported stolen in the city of Guelph. Later that day, the vehicle was located on Sunnylea Crescent and the rightful owner attended to the vehicle’s location. As the vehicle was turned over to the owner, police left the area. Once police left the area, a male came out of a residence on Sunnylea Crescent, got into the recently recovered vehicle and drove it away. The owner followed the vehicle and it stopped at a residence on Mohawk Drive.

Police attended to the residence and as a result, Francisco Ferraz, a 43-year-old Guelph male was charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000, and breaching his probation.

Ferraz is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 8, 2019.

On Nov. 19, 2018 at approximately 1:10 a.m., Guelph Police observed Ferraz on Speedvale Avenue. As a result of the previous incident, Ferraz was on conditions, one of those being a curfew. Ferraz was arrested and charged with several other offences in regards to breaching his conditions. 

Ferraz is scheduled to appear in bail court on Nov. 19, 2018.
