Vehicles smash into building in attempted ATM theft

One vehicle was left at the scene, the second was seen heading west on Woodlawn Road

On March 19, 2019 at 4:26 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a business on Silvercreek Parkway North for a glass break alarm. Prior to police arrival, another call was then received by a witness who advised it appeared two vehicles were ramming the store front.

On scene, police discovered that the front of the store had been smashed as the culprit(s) attempted to steal the ATM machine. One vehicle was left behind and the second vehicle, described as a dark-coloured pickup truck, was last seen westbound on Woodlawn Road. The investigation is ongoing.
