The Wellington County OPP is asking for the public's assistance as it continues to investigate a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred on October 24, 2022.
On October 24, 2022, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious collision at the intersection of Wellington Road 124 and Wellington Road 26, west of Erin. It was reported that a pick-up truck and a sedan had collided.
The operator of the sedan, a 51-year-old resident of Guelph, was pronounced deceased at scene. The deceased has been identified as Derek James SAGE, 51-years-old of Guelph.
The Wellington County OPP is continuing to look for anyone who may have dash-cam footage or who may have witnessed this collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
