Police suspect the bag of tools pictured is stolen property

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Stolen property investigation
On April 7, 2020 at 3:14 p.m., the Guelph Police Service was notified regarding a bag of tools that was found on Wolfond Crescent in the City of Guelph. Police suspect that it’s stolen property.

Silver Hyundai Elantra stolen
On April 7, 2020 just before 5:25 a.m., an adult male left a silver 2015 Hyundai Elantra running in the driveway of his residence located near the intersection of Victoria Road South and Macalister Boulevard in the City of Guelph, as he quickly ran back inside his residence.

Approximately one minute later, he returned outside to see an unknown male driving the vehicle out of the driveway.

The male is described as:
    •    Caucasian
    •    Early 20s
    •    Wearing a hoodie with hood up, surgical mask, black backpack and baseball hat

The Guelph Police Service would like to remind the public to lock your vehicles, never leave keys inside your vehicles and never leave an unattended vehicle running.

School portable entered
On April 7, 2020 at 10:15 p.m., the Guelph Police Service was notified regarding an alarm at a school located near the intersection of Westmount Road and London Road West in the City of Guelph.

At 10:16 p.m., police arrived at the scene and found that a portable had been pried open and entered, however nothing was taken.

Residential garage entered
Some time overnight on April 6, 2020, the garage of a residence located near the intersection of Colonial Drive and Summerfield Drive in the City of Guelph was entered. Three bicycles were taken. Entry was gained as the garage had been left open.

Attempted residential break-in
Some time over the last two weeks, an attempt was made to enter a residence located near the intersection of Mountford Drive and Eastview Road in the City of Guelph. An attempt was made to pry open the downstairs exterior door, however entry was never gained.
