Mischief, theft, calls for service

The following are news releases issued by the Guelph Police Service:

On Aug. 15, 2018 at approximately 2:25 a.m., while on routine patrol, Guelph Police observed two males tagging a wall and a bus shelter in the area of Willow Road and Edinburgh Road.

As a result, Shawn Ramsay, a 19-year-old Guelph male and Khang Tran, a 19-year-old Guelph male, were charged with two counts of mischief under $5000.  They are scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 28, 2018.

On Aug. 13, 2018, Guelph Police were called to a business in the area of Woodlawn Road and Woolwich Street in regard to a theft.  The male had left the store but through police investigation, he was identified. 

On Aug. 14, 2018 at approximately 3:08 p.m., police observed the responsible male in the area of Woodlawn Road and Woolwich Street.  Patrick Rea, a 35-year-old Guelph male, was charged with Theft Under $5000 and breaching his Probation Order.  Rea is scheduled to appear in court on September 21, 2018.

In the last 24 hours, Guelph Police dealt with 245 calls for service.
