Guelph Police responded to 210 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Theft from motor vehicle
On May 26, 2020, Guelph Police responded to a break and enter to a residence on Hands Drive near Gordon Street.  Sometime overnight unknown person(s) entered an open garage door and gained access to an unlocked motor vehicle contained therein.  A number of items were taken from within the vehicle including sunglasses, Tim’s Gift Card, a case of diet coke and four cases of protein drink.

Guelph Police would like to remind the public to ensure all garage/out buildings and vehicle doors are locked and secured at all times.  Make it a habit to hit lock on your key fob as you head to bed. 

Break and enter to school portable
On May 26th, 2020 at 10:47pm, Guelph Police received a report of a possible break and enter in progress at a school near Willow Road and Westwood Road in the City of Guelph.  The report indicate that it appeared two males were trying to force their way into a school portable. Police arrived on scene moments later to investigate.  Police discovered damage to the door and frame of one portable and it appears entry may have been gained.  The investigation is ongoing while Police review security video.
