In the last 24 hours, the Guelph Police Service dealt with 276 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Accident involving two vehicles
On May 29, 2018 at approximately 11:16 a.m., Guelph police were called to an accident on Speedvale Avenue West. It was learned through investigation that a 59 year old Guelph male that was driving a Chevrolet was rear ended by a Chevrolet driven by a 43-year-old Guelph male. The 59-year-old man suffered minor injuries.

Over 80 arrest
On May 30, 2018 at approximately 1:50 a.m., Guelph police were called to a restaurant in the downtown area for a possible drunk driver going through the drive thru of the restaurant. Police attended to the area and located the vehicle in question and spoke with the driver. As a result of the incident, Gerardo De Leon, a 31-year-old Georgetown male was arrested for over 80. He was given a June 12, 2018 court date.
