On September 6, 2016 at 8:04 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Woodlawn Road West business to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the locked compound, damaged vehicles and stole several tires and rims.

Break and enter

On September 6, 2016 at 7:04 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Dawson Road business to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the fenced yard and damaged/entered vehicles.

On September 6, 2016 at 7:33 a.m., the Guelph Police went to the Victor Davis construction site on Victoria Road to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the building and stole hand held power tools.

Break and enter

On September 6, 2016 at 10:26 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Dawson Road business to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the fenced compound sometime over the weekend and damaged/entered vehicles. There is a suspect description: male wearing a black shirt, black shorts and sandals.

On September 6, 2016 at 6:40 p.m., the Guelph Police went to a Pipe Street residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the garage and stole a Black and Decker leaf blower.

On September 6, 2016 at 5:09 p.m., the Guelph Police went to an Edinburgh Road South residence to investigate a break and enter. The culprit(s) entered the garage and stole a bicycle.

Stolen cars

On September 6, 2016 the Guelph Police received reports of two stolen vehicles taken from driveways overnight. A 2012 black Jeep Grand Cherokee was taken from Hands Drive and a silver 2001 Dodge Dakota Sport was taken from Speedvale Avenue West.

Single car collision – impaired driver arrested

On September 7, 2016 at 1:00 a.m., the Guelph Police went to Woodlawn Road East for the report of a collision. Police arrived on scene and located the vehicle which had struck boulders but the occupant(s) had left. Continued investigation led to the driver being located a short distance away and he was arrested.

Justin Dickieson, 25 years of Guelph has been charged with impaired driving, drive over 80mg and fail to remain at scene of accident. He will appear in court on September 20, 2016.

Collision – impaired driver arrested

On September 7, 2016 at 3:17 a.m., the Guelph Police received the report of a possible impaired driver on Edinburgh Road South and Gordon Street. It is alleged that the vehicle drove off the roadway and onto a property causing two tires to go flat. The male driver was located, determined to be impaired by alcohol and was arrested. 

A 20-year-old Elora man has been charged with impaired driving and drive over 80mg. He will appear in court on September 23, 2016.

In the area of Victoria Road/Delta Street from 1:52 p.m. - 4 p.m. - 7 tickets issued.

In the area of Watson Parkway/Couling Crescent from 2:38 p.m. - 4:10 p.m. - 8 tickets issued.
