TOWNSHIP OF ERIN - On Aug. 29, 2019 members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an attempted theft on Wellington Road 124 near Winston Churchill Boulevard in the Town of Erin.

It was reported that sometime between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. unknown suspects attempted to steal a large wooden municipal 'Welcome' sign along Wellington Road 124. The signs wooden support post had been cut and the sign was gone.

OPP attended and the sign remains outstanding.
