Well that escalated quickly: from graffiti to death threat, police say

A male and female were both arrested Thursday after the female was caught doing graffiti in a downtown business and her male companion threatened the staff member who caught her.

Guelph police were called to the business just before 7 p.m. An employee said he caught the female drawing on some artwork with a permanent marker. When the employee asked her to stop, the male allegedly approached the employee in an aggressive manner and threatened to kill him.

Police located the parties in the area and placed them both under arrest.

A 24-year-old Guelph female is charged with mischief under $5,000. She will appear in a Guelph court June 8.

A 29-year-old Guelph male was charged with uttering threats. He will appear in a Guelph court June 11.
