On October 3, 2018, at approximately 7:47 p.m., Guelph Police were called to a business on Woodlawn Road in regard to two parties shoplifting.

A male and a female were observed (allegedly) shoplifting several items that totalled over $70. Both parties left the store and got into a vehicle, when they were approached by loss prevention. The male, who was in the passenger seat, got out of the vehicle and returned the items to loss prevention. The male then fled on foot. Loss prevention caught the male and he was placed under arrest.

The female, who was driving, drove the vehicle to where the male and loss prevention officers were. In doing so, she ran over the foot of one of the loss prevention officers with her vehicle. The female then drove away with a disregard for the well being of the loss prevention officer. The loss prevention officer did not require medical attention.

Robert Rolfe, a 32-year-old Acton male was charged with theft under $5,000 and escape lawful custody. Wolfe is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 16, 2018.

A warrant is being sought for several Criminal Code charges for the female.
