Woman charged after police respond to assault complaint

On Jan. 29, 2018 at approximately 8 a.m., Guelph police were called to a north end motel where there was a report of an assault. Investigation revealed that this incident was a robbery. Police learned that an adult male was robbed of money at the motel. The victim in the incident was assaulted and was transported to the Guelph General Hospital where he was subsequently released with minor injuries.

A 19-year-old female has been arrested and charged with robbery and possession of stolen property. She was held for a bail hearing.

The investigation is ongoing and police would like to speak to a male that was seen in the area, describe as being tall and thin with darker skin. This male was last seen walking eastbound along Woodlawn Road.
